Soft tissue grafting around teeth and implants.

A gum graft is a treatment performed to correct the effects of gum recession. The function of gum tissue is to cover and protect the roots of your teeth and underlying jawbone that anchors them in place. When gums recede, the bone and other tissues that support your tooth’s root are also lost. In the majority of the cases, gum tissue from the roof of the mouth is taken and used to build the gum back up where it has receded. The gum on the roof of the mouth will be regenerated by itself.
